I really like subscription boxes, but I'm usually too poor to buy them. The mystery of what's coming is so fun, and if you get something you don't particularly like, you can use it as a present or for blog giveaways, so you're not out the money you paid for the box.
Today I'm reviewing the March Comic Bento box, which I received for free to review on the blog and because I signed up for their affiliates program. March's theme was Cloak and Dagger, so very espionage and I loved it! (If I could choose any job in the world, it would be spy. No joke.)
The box the comics come in is very sturdy, and the books are not only bubble wrapped, but there's a cardboard piece in the bottom of the bubble wrap, so your books will not come bent up, which is nice.
Now, these aren't my typical comic picks (I mean, I read the Lumberjanes and the Rat Queens, stuff like that), but I found them to be pretty awesome anyway. And The Coldest City is hardback, which I was not expecting at all! Very good quality and at $20 a month, I think the box is a pretty good deal. So much so, that once I found out that April's theme was Mixed Tape (and you know I'm a sucker for anything nostalgic like a mixed tape), I went and ordered one right away! I can't wait to share that one with you guys once I receive it.
Boxes get shipped out at the end of each month. If you try it out, let me know what you think.
